COVID_19 Case figures Canton of Zurich from 27.2.2020 to 3.1.2023

The number of cases includes the persons tested in the Canton of Zurich. The data is updated once a week (every Wednesday). As of March 9, 2020, a new test regime applied: Only people who showed severe symptoms, had an increased risk of complications or were in direct contact with patients or residents of old-age and nursing homes were tested. Since 27 April 2020, the Federal Office of Public Health BAG also recommends to test individuals who show symptoms of acute respiratory disease, have muscle pain or loss of smell or taste. The test costs have not been covered by the federal government since January 1, 2023. Thus, a reduction in the number of tests carried out and an increase in the number of cases are expected. For this reason, the update of the test and case numbers will be discontinued as of 3.1.2023.
