Genome re-sequencing and re-annotation of Aspergillus fumigatus. Genome re-annotation of Aspergillus fumigatus

Aspergillus fumigatus is one of the most studied airborne fungal pathogens. We improved the genome annotation of Aspergillus fumigatus by including new DNA-sequencing data and multiple previously published transcriptomic studies covering a diverse range of culturing conditions. The high quality of the annotation was ensured by manual curation of each gene locus with information from comparative genomics and the available transcriptome data. Additionally, we annotated ncRNA transcripts by incooperating a miRNA sequencing library.
