Evaluation of the Nutrition Component of the EU-SHARE Program Baseline Survey

The EU SHARE is a nutrition intervention, implemented in 17 woredas within Ethiopia. This evaluation of the EU SHARE program is imperative to monitor the implementation of the project activities, in addition to assessing any change in the indicators of progress toward the expected results of the project. The aim of the baseline survey was to assess the level of malnutrition in the areas of intervention before the start of the activities, to evaluate the impact of the project on malnutrition rate, to determine pre-assessment levels of Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) on key Maternal, Infant and Young Child Feeding (MIYCF) and child caring and maternal practices within the different intervention areas and to assess pre-level of de-worming, iron supplementation and growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) participation in the surveyed woredas.
