资源简介:
For all the planted trees, we measured the basal diameter (at 10 cm above ground), the diameter at breast height (at 1.3 m above ground) and the tree height in 2017 as part of a yearly inventory25. In January and February 2017, we also measured the height of the oil palms at meristem, i.e. the point of attachment of the young leaves to the oil palm trunk. We estimated aboveground biomass of the trees (Equ. 11) and the oil palms (Equ. 12) using the respective allometric equations : AGBtree = 0.0673 * (ρ * DBH 2 * H) 0.976 (11) AGBpalm = 71.797 * H - 7.0872 (12) AGBtree = aboveground biomass of the planted trees (kg / tree) AGBpalm = aboveground biomass of the oil palms (kg / palm) DBH = tree diameter at breast height (cm) H = height of tree or palm (m) ρ = wood density (g/cm3). Wood density for Peronema canescens (0.61 g/cm3), Parkia speciosa (0.54 g/cm3), Dyera polyphylla (0.36 g/cm3) was based on EFForTS core plot data, while for Archidendron sp. (0.36 g/cm3), Shorea leprosula (0.44 g/cm3), Durio zibethinus (0.516 g/cm3) was taken from the Global wood density database. We estimated the total aboveground biomass per plot as the sum of the aboveground biomass of the palms and the planted trees (Equ. 13). The estimations of total AGB did not consider the necromass, litter, understorey vegetation and spontaneously established trees, which were considered negligible. AGB = (sum(AGBtree) + sum(AGBpalm) /Nin * dpalm ) / (A * 10000) (13) AGB = total aboveground biomass per plot (t / ha) dpalm = density of oil palms (number of oil palms / ha) that takes into account the local neighborhoods of the plots (see expansion factor, Equ. 5 and 6) A = area of the plot (m2)
