A mobile patio may be deployed in an on-street vehicle parking space for use as a temporary passive seating area for the public or patrons of a business. The mobile patio comprises a frame having a receiver for a hook arm， a winch hook or the like of a transporter. A flooring deck is supported on the frame and the frame has a plurality of rail post sockets defining the perimeter of the mobile patio. A corresponding plurality of rail posts are secured in the rail post sockets and topped with a rail. Vertical panels are fixed spanning the rail posts. In an alternate embodiment designed to work with transporters that operate with cable and winch systems the receiver is disposed on a receiver bracket. A method of deploying the mobile patio is provided.
