Cultural Resources Archaeological Reconnaissance Survey Report for PIN 8BOW.00.101, BIN 1-04075-0, Replacement of BIN 1-04075-0 U.S. 209 Bridge over Rochester Creek, Town of Rochester, Ulster County, New York (MCD # 11113)

This report includes background research on known archaeological sites, and historical structures and the environmental context, and a summary of methods. Field methods included photo documentation of field conditions and disturbances, subsurface testing by 40cm shovel test pits, screening of excavated soils, and collection of cultural materials.
Analysis of the horizontal and vertical depositions of the small number of artifact finds does not suggest substantial integrity to the locations or distributions of artifacts. No archaeological sites are indicated within the current project scope, and no further work is recommended.
