Leisure tourism expenditure as GDP share in Italy 1999-2019

The leisure tourism spending as a share of GDP in Italy rose gradually from 2010 to 2019. In 2009, the expenditure by domestic and international leisure travelers consisted of roughly three percent of the total GDP in Italy. In 2019, the share of leisure tourism spending increased to 4.6 percent.
