Parkinson's disease is a common neurodegenerative disorder. It remains unknown how genomic 5-hydroxymethylcytosine architecture remodels in PD blood and whether 5hmC signatures could be used for PD diagnosis. In this study, we investigated DNA hydroxymethylation landscapes including differentially hydroxymethylated cytosines and differentially hydroxymethylated regions in 5 pairs of drug-naive PD patients and their spouses using single-base resolution hydroxymethylome.
