Predatory drill hole in Ostracoda: an overview of patterns in the fossil record
收藏资源简介:
The data used were compiled from thiasdsdty-six articles available in the literature on ostracod predation in the fossil record. In total, five datasets (datasets 1–5) were created according to the study objectives. Dataset 3 was used for null model analysis, resulting in datasets 6–9.Dataset 1: based on the location of drill holes in the ostracod carapace, also regarding geographic distribution, geological age, ichnotaxonomy of drill holes, and identification of predators and preys.Dataset 2: outer and inner diameter of drill holes and their ichnotaxonomic classification as reported in each paper.Dataset 3: drilling intensity by species over geological time associated with depositional environments.Dataset 4: inner and outer maximum diameter of drill holes and measurements (length and height) of drilled ostracods in the Permian (Kungurian-Wordian), Triassic (Ladian-Rhaetian), Cretaceous (Maastrichtian), and Paleogene (Danian).Dataset 5: drilling intensity obtained in each study, associated with the geological period and depositional environment for post-Cretaceous data.Dataset 6: null model analysis data for each genus (≥ 30 specimens) from the Cretaceous and predation intensity data, relative abundance.Dataset 7: null model analysis data for each genus (≥ 30 specimens) from the Paleogene and predation intensity data, relative abundance.Dataset 8: null model analysis data for each genus (≥ 30 specimens) from the Neogene and predation intensity data, relative abundance.Dataset 9: null model analysis data for each genus (≥ 30 specimens) from the Quaternary and predation intensity data, relative abundance.
