VLF Receiver

GO-ABOVE (Geospace Observatory - Array for
Broadband Observations of VLF/ELF Emissions) is a set of ground-based VLF receivers operating from 100 Hz to 75 kHz. The ABOVE instruments monitor electromagnetic covering chorus and hiss emissions as well as U.S. Navy transmitters near 25 kHz. The
absolute timing accuracy is 10 ns, from GPS.

The instrument utilizes two VLF antennas, one aligned North-South, the other East-West.

GO-ABOVE（地球空间观测阵列 - 宽带VLF/ELF辐射观测阵列）是一套地面VLF接收器，工作频率范围在100赫兹至75千赫兹之间。ABOVE仪器监测电磁覆盖的合唱和嘶嘶声辐射，以及位于25千赫兹附近的美国海军发射器。其绝对时间精度为10纳秒，由GPS提供。该仪器采用两个VLF天线，一个南北对齐，另一个东西对齐。
