LEXICOGRAPHY:TYPES OF DICTIONARIES

This article is dedicated to analyze the lexicography,the role of lexicography in modern English,the difficulties in that field of language,the importance of lexicography in language and cultural preservation.As well as,this article aims to represent the dictionary,its types,the process of compiling dictionaries,and the differences between traditional[paper based]and electronic[mobile dictionaries collected on various applications] dictionaries.Lexicography is not only vital in philology but also in translation field it is quite fundamental,especially in case of word choice.It is universally acknowledged that,one word can be used in different situations with not identical meanings.In such cases the lexical knowledge can address all issues.
