GRW-produced areas in Saarland

GRW support area: Support from the Community Task “Improving the Regional Economic Structure” (GRW) and from the National Programme for the Improvement of Regional Employment and Economic Structure. The assisted area with the higher support preference, the C-produced area (orange), comprises the municipalities of Überherrn, Ensdorf, Bous, Nalbach, Schwalbach and Saarwellingen, as well as the cities of Saarlouis and Lebach, and in the regional association Saarbrücken the municipality of Heusweiler and the city of Völklingen. The aid area with the lower funding preference, the D-providing area (blue), includes the parts of the Saarlouis district and the Saarbrucken regional association, which do not belong to the C-support area, as well as the districts Neunkirchen and Merzig-Wadern, the municipalities of Marpingen and Tholey of the districts of St. Wendel and the municipality of Kirkel, as well as the towns of Bexbach, Homburg and St. Ingbert des Saarpfalz-Kreis.
