Code and data for: Heat effects on mortality across the Middle East and North Africa: a multi-country analysis using ERA5 reanalysis, 2015–2024
收藏资源简介:
Python code and processed data used to estimate the association between hot days and monthly all-cause mortality in nine Middle East and North Africa countries (Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman), and to describe heat exposure in 14 countries, 2015–2024. Heat exposure was derived from hourly ERA5 reanalysis (via the Open-Meteo Historical Weather API) at 55 cities and aggregated to population-weighted country series. Mortality data are from the World Mortality Dataset and population data from UN World Population Prospects 2024. The archive contains the city-level daily ERA5 series, country exposure series, the monthly analysis dataset, model results, all tables and figures, and the code to reproduce them (see README.md)
