T-PARC: MTSAT-2 Rapid-Scan Atmospheric Motion Vector Data. Version 1.0

This data set contains atmospheric motion vector (AMV) data derived from the MTSAT-2 satellite rapid scan (4 or 15 minute) data over the T-PARC region. AMVs were derived from the infrared, shortwave infrared and visible channels. Quality control information is also included. Data are only available during periods of MTSAT-2 rapid scan data collection (10-13, 17-18 and 27-28 September 2008). These data were developed by CIMSS and are in a columnar ASCII format.
