The goal of this study was to identify changes in the transcriptome that occur following Abca12 gene deletion relative to Control islets Overall design: Islets were isolated from 5 week old mice from two groups, 1) KO (Abca12 tm1d) animals with a conditional Abca12 floxed allele deleted by the action of Rip1-Cre, or 2) control animals heterozygous for Abca12 floxed allele with Rip1-Cre.
