Partitioning the sources of sediment organic carbon in South African seagrass meadows

This dataset contains stable carbon isotope (δ¹³C) measurements of plant material and sediment cores collected from the Breede River and Berg River estuaries, South Africa, collected in May 2022. Samples include Zostera capensis (seagrass) and associated surrounding vegetation from lower and upper estuary zones (including dune and saltmarsh habitats), as well as sediment cores (to depths of 3cm).
