资源简介:
High fat and high-salt diet intake over a period impact the gut microbial communities, leading to the pathophysiology of various metabolic disorders. Moreover, HFD and HSD intake could also increase the risk of gut microbial infections. Antibiotics are known for their independent capability to modulate altered gut bacteria that could also induce the pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome. However, using antibiotics among individuals consuming a high-fat diet or high salt can conjointly affect mitochondrial function linked to increased risk of chronic inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. This project addressed wide knowledge gaps by conducting a high-throughput sequencing study to know how gut microbiota profile changes in short term HFD or HSD fed mice obtaining antibiotic intervention in the form of amoxicillin antibiotics.
