Low-coverage genome skimming data were generated for the newly described species Dendronereis javaensis and Dendronereides cilacapensis to assess their phylogenetic placement within Nereididae (Polychaeta). The data were also used to investigate the ingroup phylogeny of the family and evaluate the status of its subfamilies. Mitochondrial genomes were assembled from the genome skimming data for this purpose.
