This project focuses on generating a high-quality draft reference genome assembly of Cylicomorpha solmsii using PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing. Whole-genome sequencing reads are mapped to the reference genome to identify the sex determination system, characterize sex chromosomes, and define the genomic region associated with sex determination (SDR), providing a genomic foundation for studies of sex chromosome evolution in this species.
