资源简介:
Biosphere Reserves are internationally recognised areas of ecosystems or a combination of terrestrial and coastal/marine ecosystems.
As part of the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Programme (MAB), biosphere reserves are established to promote a balanced relationship between humans and the biosphere.
A biosphere reserve consists of three areas: a central zone, a buffer zone, a transition zone.
Biosphere reserves, most often their central areas, are based on pre-existing protected areas (natural reserves, national parks, regional natural parks, etc.). They may therefore correspond to a geographical object already covered by another layer belonging to the Protected Natural Spaces (ENP) in order to achieve specific objectives for the conservation of the natural heritage.
This international designation is based on triple zoning: central zone, buffer zone, transition area. The transition area is not necessarily intended to be integrated into a geographical information system; indeed, according to the “Guide d’Aide à la Gestion” of French biosphere reserves, it does not always have a well-defined outer limit.
