The granulomas are scattered throughout the whole intestinal wall, and around the diverticula, in the fatty tissue of the mesentery, and in adjacent lymph nodes. Most of them are non-caseating granulomas, single small ones in the vicinity of ulcers show central necrosis.
Conclusion: Granulomatous colitis with perforation.
