The ddRAD-seq reads of 99 female specimens of parthenogenetic and their parental bisexual species of Darevskia lizards were aligned to Z-chromosome assembly of the wall lizard Podarcis muralis. Since all lacertid lizards possess highly conserved and differentiated ZZ/ZW sex chromosomes, and all parthenogenetic forms are ZW, their Z chromosome is inherited directly and exclusively from the paternal ancestor.
