Polysaccharide is one of Polygonatum kingianum main active ingredients, which have been proven to regulate Gut microbiota alance. For the first time, our research focuses on regulation of PS on Lactobacillus faecis, a specific probiotics in the intestinal tract. We found that PS effectively promoted the biomass, biofilm and acetic acid production in L. faecis 2-84, and enhanced QS signaling.
