SDFD is a synthetic facial image dataset developed by the Information Technologies and Industrial Research Institute of CERTH, Greece, which aims to address the insufficient diversity of existing facial image datasets. This dataset contains 1000 facial images with diverse attributes, covering various demographic characteristics including different races, genders and ages, as well as non-permanent features such as diverse hairstyles, accessories and makeup. During its development, a method integrating systematic prompt engineering strategies was adopted, which leverages cutting-edge text-to-image models to generate high-fidelity photorealistic images. SDFD is primarily designed for the evaluation of facial analysis systems, with the goal of improving the robustness of AI systems when dealing with facial diversity.
