Multiconfiguration borehole Distributed Acoustic Sensing seismic dataset acquired at the PITOP test site

We present an openly available multi-configuration seismic dataset acquired during a dedicated field experiment conducted at an instrumented test site. The dataset includes distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) measurements recorded along a linear fiber-optic cable deployed in a vertical borehole to a depth of 150 m. The active experiments comprise cross-hole and vertical seismic profiling (VSP) acquisitions. Cross-hole data were acquired using a Sparker impulsive source. For the VSP measurements, a vibroseis source located near the wellbore was employed. DAS data were recorded using two different gauge lengths in order to evaluate the influence of this parameter on the recorded wavefield characteristics.
