<p>This public opinion poll was conducted on August 23-24, 1990 via telephone with a sample size of 767. The topics covered include: Bush job performance, the status of American power, the Iraq and Kuwait situation (including Saddam Hussein and the hostage situation), the presence of American forces in and around Saudi Arabia, their support of military action in Iraq, thoughts on assassination, and immigration.</p>
