This project explores the association between lifestyle factors and macrovascular and microvascular complications in hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Lima, Peru. Data from 159 patients hospitalized at Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital in 2022 were analyzed using IMEVID to assess lifestyle and Poisson regression to determine prevalence ratios. Findings revealed that poor lifestyle significantly increased the prevalence of complications, while higher physical activity served as a protective factor. The anonymized dataset is available to support further research on mitigating diabetes-related complications in resource-limited settings.
