Raw Data_ The Impact of Social Exclusion on Negative Risk-taking Behavior in Adolescents: A Chain Mediation Model of Self-esteem and Self-control

The dataset, Raw Data_ The Impact of Social Exclusion on Negative Risk-taking Behavior in Adolescents: A Chain Mediation Model of Self-esteem and Self-control, was collected from students at multiple junior and senior high schools in Hainan Province using the Wenjuanxing platform (www.wjx.cn) between October 2024 and January 2025. After excluding invalid responses, 931 valid questionnaires were analyzed. The study explored the impact of social exclusion on negative risk-taking behavior among adolescents, focusing on the chain mediating roles of self-esteem and self-control. This dataset offers a snapshot of social and psychological risk factors among adolescents in Hainan Province and provides empirical support for future youth mental health research and intervention.
