Stage-Discharge Rating Curve Parameters Across NHDPlus river network in CONUS

Stage-Discharge rating curves provide a simplified way to communicate the probability of fluvial flooding in a river. These curves express the relationship between water level (stage) and streamflow, helping to identify low, moderate, and high flood levels for a given streamflow at a river section. With forecasted /retrospective streamflow information, we can use these curves to estimate the corresponding water level. Traditionally, these curves are developed by continuously monitoring the stage-discharge relationship at gauged sites. In our work, we apply four machine learning approach to generate these rating curves for ungauged river reaches across the Contiguous Unites States.
