资源简介:

This dataset contains the anonymized research data and reproducibility materials supporting the study “Perceived Dark-Pattern Exposure in Monetized Online Games: Manipulative-Intent Inference, Trust, and Asymmetric Purchase–Exit Responses.” The study examines how perceived dark-pattern exposure in digital-game monetization relates to manipulative-intent inference, fear of missing out (FoMO), perceived monetization fairness, player trust, satisfaction, in-game purchase intention, and monetization-driven quitting intention. The dataset is based on a web-based survey of 500 adult digital-game players. Participants evaluated a monetized game they had recently played. The research instrument used seven-point Likert-type measures and included constructs related to perceived dark-pattern exposure, in-game FoMO, monetization fairness, perceived manipulative intent, player trust, player satisfaction, purchase intention, and quitting intention. The deposited package contains anonymized analysis data, variable documentation and materials required to reproduce the reported statistical analyses. Personally identifying information is not included. The study received ethical approval from the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Committee of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (Meeting No. 10, Decision No. 2026.10.21, 1 July 2026). All participants were aged 18 years or older and provided electronic informed consent before participation.
