Exploring the Integration of Technology in English Language Teaching:A Research Study

This research explores technology integration in English language teaching (ELT) through a mixed-methods approach. It investigates how English language teachers perceive and practice technology integration in their classrooms and examines its impact on student engagement and learning outcomes.Using quantitative and qualitative methods, this research collected data from English language teachers at different levels of technology integration, ranging from low to high. Through surveys and interviews, we explored teachers' attitudes, challenges, successful instances, and visions for the future regarding technology integration.The quantitative analysis involved examining mean scores, mode, standard deviation, frequency, and percentages to identify trends and patterns in teachers' attitudes and perceptions toward technology integration. Meanwhile, the qualitative analysis provided rich insights into teachers' experiences, struggles, and strategies related to technology integration.This research aimed to identify convergence and divergence between teachers' perceptions and practices by synthesizing the quantitative and qualitative findings. This comprehensive approach allowed for a nuanced understanding of technology integration's complexities in ELT and its implications for student engagement and learning outcomes.Therefore, this research contributes to the existing literature by shedding light on the multifaceted nature of technology integration in English language teaching and providing insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers seeking to enhance technology integration practices in language education.
