circRNAs expression profiling analysis of peripheral blood from patients with β-thalassemia intermedia and major

To explore the role of circRNAs in the regulation of β-thalassemia and provide new evidence and targets for the treatment of β-thalassemia, circRNAs expression profiling was analyzed from patients with β-thalassemia intermedia and major. Peripheral blood samples of patients with β-thalassemia intermedia and major (n=6) and healthy controls (n=6) were collected, total RNA was extracted and digested with Rnase R to remove linear RNAs and enrich circRNAs. The differentially expressed circRNAs were screened using an Arraystar Human circRNA Array (8x15K, Arraystar).
