The Maya lived in the Jungle, it was muddy and it rained almost every single day. Plants grew really fast and the animals thrived. To survive in this jungle the Maya they carved boats out of wood and travelled by sea and river when possible. They made very bright roads out of limestone to help them to be seen in the dark jungle. They also made paths of stone above the muddy ground to help get around.
