Nanopore sequencing reveals microbial community compositions on microplastics in the field study of Setun River

This dataset contains nanopore sequencing data from microbial communities associated with microplastic particles and river water collected from the Setun River (Moscow, Russia). Samples include native river water microbiomes and enrichment cultures grown with polyethylene (LDPE) and polycaprolactone (PCL) in minimal medium. The data were generated using Oxford Nanopore sequencing to characterize taxonomic composition, diversity, and potential plastic-degrading bacteria. These data can be used for comparative metagenomic studies of freshwater and plastic-associated microbiomes.
