Autoeficácia parental e duração do aleitamento materno exclusivo: uma coorte prospectiva

This dataset derives from a prospective cohort study investigating the association between maternal and paternal breastfeeding self-efficacy, early breastfeeding performance (LATCH score), and maternity leave with the duration of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) up to six months. Data were collected from mother–father dyads within 24 hours postpartum in a hospital setting with rooming-in care and followed monthly through standardized digital contact.
The dataset includes sociodemographic, obstetric, and neonatal variables, as well as validated measures of maternal and paternal breastfeeding self-efficacy. Outcomes include time to interruption of exclusive breastfeeding and EBF status at six months.
Data were cleaned and verified for consistency, and records with similar characteristics were manually checked and confirmed as distinct participants. No duplicate records were removed.
Statistical analyses were conducted using Stata (version 19) and R (version 4.5.3), including descriptive analysis, Spearman correlation, Kaplan–Meier survival analysis, Cox proportional hazards regression, and logistic regression models.
This dataset enables full reproducibility of the analyses presented in the associated manuscript and may support secondary analyses on determinants of breastfeeding duration and parental influences on infant feeding practices.
