Evidence for improved DNA repair in long-lived bowhead whale

This BioProject contains high-throughput sequencing data from fibroblasts of multiple mammalian species (mouse, cow, human, and bowhead whale) to investigate comparative genome stability and longevity. RNA-seq datasets include transcriptomes from primary fibroblasts under basal conditions and from senescent fibroblasts after ionizing radiation (10 Gy and 20 Gy). Whole-genome sequencing datasets include genomic DNA from fibroblasts under basal conditions and after ENU treatment, as well as genomic DNA isolated from tumors that developed in nude mice following xenograft injections of transformed fibroblasts.
