Format: CSV, UTF-8 encoded Source: Steam Store (https://store.steampowered.com) Collection date: April 8, 2026 Records: 7,220 apps Description: This dataset contains metadata for 7,220 applications published on the Steam Store (https://store.steampowered.com), collected via web scraping on April 8, 2026. Each record corresponds to a single application (game, DLC, soundtrack, etc.) and was collected from the individual product page of that application. The data covers the most popular and recently released titles according to Steam's search results for Spain, with the store interface set to english. The dataset includes commercial information (price, active discounts), user reception (review counts and summaries), content characteristics (DLCs, achievements, supported languages, soundtrack availability), and thematic classification (genres and community tags). Fields with dynamic values (such as prices, discounts, and review counts) reflect the state of the store at the time of collection. The dataset was produced as part of a web scraping practice for the Master's in Data Science at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), using Python and Scrapy as the scraping framework. Fields (26 per record): id: Steam numeric application identifier. title: Product name as shown on the Steam Store. date: Release date. developer_name: Name of the developer. publisher_name: Name of the publisher. reviews_total: Total number of user reviews. reviews_recent: Number of recent user reviews. reviews_total_summary: Overall review sentiment label (e.g. "Overwhelmingly Positive"). reviews_recent_summary: Recent review sentiment label. original_price: Base price in euros (€). discount_price: Discounted price in euros (€). Null if no active discount. discount_percent: Active discount percentage (%). Null if no active discount. achievements_number: Number of Steam achievements. langs_number: Number of supported languages. dlcs_number: Number of DLCs, excluding soundtracks if present. has_ost: Boolean. True if the application has an official soundtrack available as a downloadable item. is_dlc: Boolean. True if the product itself is a DLC. is_ost: Boolean. True if the product itself is a soundtrack. short_desc: Short description of the product as shown on the store page. dlcs: Separated list of DLC names ("|"). Excludes soundtracks. tags: Separated list of community-assigned tags ("|"). genres: Separated list of official Steam genres ("|"). languages: Separated list of supported languages ("|"). url: URL of the product page on the Steam Store. developer_url: URL of the developer's page on the Steam Store. Null if no dedicated page exists. publisher_url: URL of the publisher's page on the Steam Store. Null if no dedicated page exists.
