Wastewater contains microorganisms coming from feces discharges and soil infiltrations, or resuspended from actively growing sewer biofilms and sediments. To understand end-of-pipe wastewater microbial community structures and possible origins, we measured hourly physicochemical characteristics of wastewater influent for 2 days and analyzed the microbial community at 4-h intervals by 16S amplicon sequencing.
