Metagenomic Assemblies Genomes and Metagenomics Assemblies Viral Genomes from several marine metagenomic samples sequenced with long (PacBio Sequel II) and short (Illumina NextSeq) sequencing technologies.

Metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) and Metagenome-assembled viral genomes (MAVGs) obtained from four samples collected from a single offshore site in the Western Mediterranean Sea. Three samples were taken from different depths of the epipelagic and stratified (summer) water column, corresponding to the upper photic layer (UP; Med-OCT2021-15m), the deep chlorophyll maximum (DCM; Med-SEP2022-60m), and the lower photic layer (LP; Med-OCT2021-75m). An additional sample was collected in winter during the mixing period (MIX; MedWinter-JAN2019). Samples were sequenced using second-generation (Illumina NextSeq; short reads) and third-generation (PacBio Sequel II; long reads). Illumina raw reads and PacBio CCS reads have been submitted to NCBI SRA and are available under BioProject accession numbers PRJNA1088973 and PRJNA674982. In addition, MAGs have been also deposited under BioProject accession number PRJNA1088973.
