Sequencing of oral and anal swab samples from Pteronotus gymnonotus and Carollia perspicillata

In this study we employed metatranscriptomic untargeted high-throughput sequencing for coronavirus discovery in bats from Northeast Brazil. The RNA samples were extracted from oral and anal swab samples using the QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Kit (Qiagen, CA, USA) and the sequencing library was prepared using the QIAseq FX DNA Library Kit. The sequencing was performed on Nextseq 2000 platform.
