Epigenome analysis of normal and myelodysplastic sundrome (MDS) bone marrow derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs)

Methylation data for MDS bone marrow derived MSCs before and after 5-Azacitidine treatment. Methylation profiles were measured using the Infinium Human MethylationEPIC BeadChip (Illumina). There are 5 healthy MSC and 8 high-risk MDS-MSC samples, untreated and treated with 5-Azacitidine in vitro. Subconfluent MSCs at P1 - P2 were treated with 1 µM AZA (Sigma-Aldrich) for up to 48 h. After exposure to AZA, cells were washed with PBS and replaced with drug free media. The drug-treated MSCs were then maintained in AZA free media for further experimentation.
