Prices calculated from Australian retail prices (as of July 2022) and presented in the Australian dollar (AUD) and the United States Dollar equivalent (USD to AUD rate of 1.47 as of July 2022). Standard laboratory consumables (such as 96-well microplates, filter tips and microfuge tubes) were excluded, being considered equal in expenditure between the two protocols.
