Exploring Domain Switching Dynamics and Phase Configuration in Ferroelectrics
收藏资源简介:
In situ synchrotron diffraction study will be used to identify and track multiple phases in single crystals of the mixed perovskite PIN-PMN-PT as a function of electric field and external mechanical stress in dynamic mode. We we will exploit the unique capabilities of the BM28 beamline to perform X-ray dynamic diffraction in operando with a synchronized piezoelectric response and potential preparation for optical transmittance experiment which is critical to further the understanding of the ferroelectric phase transition and correlation to the dynamic domain re-configuration. The data will provide critical information in understanding the phase morphology during the phase transition, elucidate any additional intermediate phases during the switching process and ultimately provide a path towards optimization of this technologically important materials and transient effects.
