A near telomere-to-telomere genome assembly of Stachys geobombycis

Stachys geobombycis C. Y. Wu is a medicinal and edible Lamiaceae species distributed in Southern China and lack of high quality genome assembly.  In this study, we integrated ultra-long Oxford Nanopore Technology reads, Pore-C chromatin conformation data and NGS survey data to obtain a near telomere-to-telomere genome of it.  The final assembly spans 881.85 Mb with a GC content of 37.77%, contains 17 pseudochromosomes, and has one remaining gap. Assembly quality assessment showed high completeness and base accuracy, including 97.7% complete BUSCOs and 46.24 for QV score.
