This habitat map is derived from a statistical species habitat model (SHM) that predicts the likely distribution and relative probability that the habitat conditions across the landscape support the elf owl (Micrathene whitneyi) across their breeding range, represented by a continuous surface with values between 0 and 1. This species habitat model was created by the Range and Distribution Mapping and Analysis Project (RADMAP).
