Bioinspired basalt fiber composites with higher impact resistance through coupling sinusoidal and helical structures inspired by mantis shrimp

After the manufacturing of biomimetic composites, the sample is also cut by the universal prototype with grinding wheel for impact experiment. The test sample adopts the non-notched sample, according to the corresponding non-notched sample standard according to standard ISO 180:2000. The test instrument used is JJ-20 pendulum impact tester. The length, width and thickness of the sample are 80mm, 10mm and 4mm, respectively. Each group tests 5 parallel samples, and the average value is taken. After impact, the impact toughness is calculated through the formula.
