资源简介:
The Conservative Party Representatives Study 2002 is a multi-focus, wholly quantitative analysis of the attitudes, beliefs, behaviour and socio-demographic background of Conservative Party politicians in 2002. A 20-page questionnaire was sent in April 2002 to all Conservative Members of Parliament (MPs), Peers, Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), Scottish MPs, Welsh and Greater London Assembly members, local councillors in Scotland and Wales and a 10 per cent random sample of local councillors in England.

The survey covered a range of topics under the headings: United Kingdom; environment; business, labour relations, welfare and the economy; Britain, Europe and the wider world; ethnicity, citizenship and national image; society and culture; conduct of politics; the political parties; religion; and the 2001 Conservative Party leadership contest. There are a small number of experiential items for all respondents and a larger battery of socio-demographic items for local councillors in England. Although they can be used as such, a large proportion of attitudinal items are primarily intended as components of valid and statistically reliable, multi-item scales. These items and scales are designed to determine differences, associations and/or predictors of attitudes, behaviour and socio-demographic background in a range of subject areas covered by a series of thematic chapters.
