Transcriptome sequencing of the leaves of a variety of Phoebe neurantha

More than 100 leaf-lobed plants were screened from about 100, 000 seedlings when studying the seeds of Phoebe neurantha collected from the wild, and named as Phoebe neurantha var. Lobophylla. In the records of the Flora of China(Chinese Flora Committee 1982), except for the partial lobes of Sassafras Trew, all of the leaves are whole leaves in the family Lauraceae. The emergence of leaf margin variation of Phoebe neurantha var. Lobophylla has aroused our strong interest. The appearance of the defective leaves of Phoebe neurantha var. Lobophylla is of great research value, especially in Lauraceae plants, which mostly have entire leaves. Previous studies on leaf morphological regulation of plants mostly used herbal model plants as materials. The RNA-seq sequencing analysis was carried out on 6 leaf bud samples of Phoebe neurantha var. Lobophylla and Phoebe neurantha, in order to find out the key genes related to the formation of leaf margin notches in Phoebe neurantha var. Lobophylla, so as to provide theoretical basis for further understanding the leaf morphological development of plants, especially the leaf shape regulation of non-model woody plants.
