Small RNA profiling from developing seeds reveals miRNAs regulating economically important seed traits in Brassica juncea

We report small RNA profiling from two stages of developing seeds of two cultivars, Early Heera2 (EH2) and Pusajaikisan (PJK), in Brassica juncea. Sequencing of twelve libraries (three biological replicates from each of the two stages - 15 days and 45 days after pollination) yielded >123 billion single-end reads. Outliers were removed and data processing and downstream analysis revealed crucial candidates for regulating seed size, oil content, and seed coat color.
