Ceramic: Mancos Black-on-white (Sosi style), ladle, AZRU-00008/2077

Mancos Black-on-white (Sosi style), ladle (fragmentary), Accession AZRU-00008, Catalog #2077, Morris FS 4660. Analyzed by Lori Reed 2006. Temper is granular igneous rock indicating production at Aztec. Ladle is 75% complete with the handle and one rim fragment missing. Measurements: 9.5 cm ladle bowl diameter, 5 cm height. Recovered from Earl Morris excavation of Kiva S, Aztec West Ruin. Kiva S is briefly mentioned in Morris (1924) in reference to a burial, but otherwise there is no published description of Kiva S.
